The CT Bombers are based out of the Batter's Box Inc. in Hamden CT. The program is run by Bob Turcio; who also coaches the 13yr old Bomber team. The program ranges from 13yrs to 18yrs. There are summer teams which play in a state tournament, and if they are successful, go on to a national tournament. In the fall there are teams that play in Mantle, Ruth etc.; this is a more relaxed, developmental team. As soon as I get the info. I'll find out when the try-outs are, the cost, and all of the other good stuff. I must note the Bombers organization is for serious baseball players only! The Batter's Box is also an indoor baseball and softball cage open to the public. Who are the Bombers? We are the one of the four, AAU (Amateure Athletic Union) baseball clubs in Connecticut at the moment. Last year we were the #2 team in CT. We played in the U.S. National Tournament in Lowell, Mass. last year, and went 5 & 3. We finished 22nd in the U.S. This year the team is excellent, and finished 17th in the country, in the national tournament in Chichasha, Ok | Who Are the CT Bombers? | |||||||||||||||||||
